Green Serpentine Triskele Earrings are created with triskele charms below green serpentine coin beads. Triskele is an ancient celtic symbol and is pronounced tri- with a long i and -skele with a long e. Serpentine has been used for ornamental and ceremonial purposes for centuries. These earrings are great for most day wear uses - not too fancy but still decorative.
These earrings are made with silver plated pewter charms and sterling silver hook earwires.
Canadian Jade is actually a trade name for this beautiful Serpentine semi-precious gemstone. Like true jade, this particular serpentine is extremely tough and great for jewelry. This bead has a vivid, translucent green with a sprinkling of black inclusions.
The Triskele symbol is also known as Triskelion or simply as the Triple Spiral and is an ancient celtic symbol based on three conjoining spirals. The triskele was used in Ireland during both the pre-Celtic (as early as 3200 BC, before both Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids) and Celtic periods.
Earring Length is measured from the top of the earwires to the bottom of the lowest bead or component.
