Happy St Patrick’s Day!!!
Are you wearing something green?
Today everyone is a little bit Irish. St Patrick’s Day is celebrated with parades and dances and it is customary to something green. Although not as ubiquitous as the shamrock , the Triskele is also an Irish symbol (albeit an ancient one) . Green and gold are a traditional Irish Celtic theme and coupled with a triskele charm would make a great gift for you or someone special on St Patrick’s Day.
Green Serpentine Triskele Earrings are created with triskele charms below green serpentine coin beads. These serpentine beads are very similar to jade and are known as Canadian Jade. The Triskele charms are TierraCast pewter (made in the USA) with an antiqued gold finish. The earwires are gold filled hooks.
The Triskele symbol is also known as Triskelion or simply as the Triple Spiral and is an ancient celtic symbol based on three conjoining spirals. The triskele was used in Ireland during both the pre-Celtic (as early as 3200 BC, before both Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids) and Celtic periods.
Earring Size: 1-7/8″ or 47mm
The earring size is measured from the top of the earwires to the bottom of the lowest bead or component.
